Supply Retina Display iPad 3 Postponed


Apple plans to begin supplying iPad retinal display 3 on the second quarter of 2011 should be delayed. The delay is touted as retinal display which is one important component iPad 3 still not ready.

Reported by Digital Trends, Tuesday (16/08/2011), although the supply schedule has been canceled in the second quarter, Apple still maintains the next plan, which supplies 1.5 to 2 million units retinal display in the third quarter and 5 to 6 million units for the quarter fourth.


"Sources in the know believe, supply the retinal display is the main reason for the delay release of IPAD 3. These components are supplied by Sharp, Samsung Electronics and LG Display and all three have not been able to fulfill it," the report written by Digital Trends.

The informant also added, because Apple can not control the volume of supply at a certain level, then the production iPad 3 also seems to be late from the scheduled time.

Another source of display manufacturers say, retinal display requires precision in its manufacture. In addition to a fairly high degree of difficulty, these screens require a backlight source was larger and single edge light bar is difficult to achieve the perfect level of satisfaction.
