Take advantage of Spam From Cloud Services




Kaspersky Lab to see a trend emerging among spammers in the second quarter of 2011. Spam started to take advantage of cloud services.

It was announced by the antivirus company Kaspersky Labs in on Wednesday (08/24/2011). Cloud service in question, for example, using the documents in Google Docs.

Documents in Google Docs page or the like is believed public service can make a candidate more unsuspecting victims. Of the document and then the victim will be redirected to a site advertising or a phishing page.


Another trend observed is Kaspersky, Spam begins to lose its global character. That is, spammers are no longer spreading junk messages en masse to the entire world.

Now, many spammers who according to Kaspersky begin selecting specific targets and carefully. Action is also known as 'spear phishing' this could be more dangerous.

This is because, the action 'spear phishing' after cyber criminals know information about the target. This may include your name, company work and other things. The information may be obtained daril like Facebook or any other media.

The data is used to make potential victims off guard, making them easier targeted spam action, ranging from advertising to fraud. Thus, although the victim may be less, this action could potentially have a better success rate.
