RIM Still Silent About The Promise


Research In Motion (RIM) had promised a few things to the government of Indonesia until a certain time limit. However, when touched on the matter, the manufacturer of BlackBerry is still silent.

The promises in question related to the development of the BlackBerry server in Indonesia, access to facilities lawful interception (wiretapping) for law enforcement, as well as RIM's commitment to build about 40 after-sales service, aka the BlackBerry Authorized Customer Care Center.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Communication and Information) itself has plans to re-call related RIM promises made in early January last.

4. RIM is committed to blocking access to Internet content is negative.

To point to the 4th, RIM had indeed run blocking by implementing DNS Nawala on BlackBerry Internet Service. But for the other point there is still no progress.
