Issue would be taken off the PC business unit of Hewlett-Packard (HP) raises a series of company names that are considered as potential buyers. One of them mentioned that Samsung is preparing to perform corporate actions.
A Taiwanese newspaper, citing information from informants who know about this report, Samsung invites PC manufacturers Compal, Quanta and Pegatron attend the meeting in Korea. In this meeting, they discussed how to increase the production of PC Samsung.
Until now, the PC made the Samsung manufactured in his factory located in mainland China. HP itself entrusting most of its PC production to three Taiwanese manufacturer who invited in the meeting.
From the Business Insider on Wednesday (24/08/2011), if so buy Samsung's PC business unit of HP, Samsung still need to collaborate with Compal, Quanta and Pegatron at any time. Samsung has not mastered the PC business was mentioned this would take off with the purchase considering the HP is still the world's largest PC vendor. This report does not mention whether the Samsung also interested in WebOS platform which HP acquired last year from Palm.
In addition to Samsung, there are four other names that predicted interest in buying the PC business unit of HP, including Lenovo, Asus, Acer and Dell.
