BlackBerry service interruption, RIM Offer Free Application

Redeeming the discomfort experienced by millions of BlackBerry users for the disruption that occurred last week, Research In Motion (RIM) to offer compensation in the form of free applications.

"A number of applications selected premium RIM offered free of charge to customers as a form of appreciation for their patience during the disruption of BlackBerry services recently," the announcement that RIM delivered through its website on Monday (17/10/2011).

Mentioned RIM, the application is immediately available to customers beginning Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in BlackBerry App World application store. This offer will last until December 31, 2011.

"Our global network supporting communications required by more than 70 million subscribers. We really appreciate and value our relationship with customers. We work hard to get the trust from them for over 12 years, and we are committed to presenting reliable standard as expected, present and later, "said Co-CEO of RIM Mike Lazaridis.

Previously, RIM by Lazaridis has also officially announced the apology and ask that customers be patient. Last week, Lazaridis announced that the BlackBerry service and RIM mend continues to monitor developments.

In connection with the offer free apps, RIM notes that the availability of application will depend on the type of device, operating system version that is used, access to BlackBerry App World and regulations or local conditions. The free applications offered include:

- Encore Shazam - Shazam
- Vlingo Plus: Virtual Assistant - Vlingo
